Emergency Management
Emergency Management is the combined efforts of local, state and federal governments to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters, both natural and manmade. The local Emergency Management Office works to identify and analyze the hazards that may face Ashe County and develop contingency plans for each hazard. The plans are regularly tested, refined and tested again, all with the goal of protecting or saving lives and property.
Ashe County is in the process of switching Community Notification Systems to help disseminate important or critical information. Please use the link below to add email addresses or cell phone numbers. If you previously entered information into the old system you will need to reenter it in the new system called Everbridge. We apologize for this inconvenience but the company that provided the CodeRed service would not release the information to use to use in the new system.
